You can now upgrade the software in your TriCaster, TriCaster Pro, PRO FX or Studio to the new 2.0 version. Here are some FAQ's as supplied to us from NewTek: How will the upgrades for current customers be sold? The TriCaster 2.0 upgrade will be offered through NewTek distributors like us. You order it right here on this web site. When will the new software be available? The upgrade will be available to all existing TriCaster owners on or about May 29th. How will the 2.0 software be made available? The upgrade will be made available on a NewTek customized USB thumb drive. Will it be a single installer, or will it require multiple installers? The 2.0 upgrade will be available as a single install. The same file may be used to upgrade any TriCaster model. The upgrade will work immediately upon installation but will require registration within 90 days. Will my current projects be impacted when my system is upgraded? The names of some DVE’s have changed in the 2.0 software. If you have a project that uses these DVE’s they will need to be updated. When you load a project with a DVE that can no longer be found (for any reason) there will be a red outline around elements of the project that need attention. Are there any new system requirements for TriCaster 2.0? Yes, you will need to have a monitor that supports a minimum screen resolution of 1280 x 1024 for the updated system to operate. Do I need the 2.0 upgrade to use new accessories like LiveText, TimeWarp and LiveControl? LiveText and TimeWarp require the new update to function. Although, LiveControl will work on existing machines however, some of the buttons and functions on LiveControl will remain inactive until the update is installed on the system.
